Matcha Layer
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- 2 tablespoons hot water
- 2 tablespoons vanilla nut milk of choice or coconut milk, unsweetened
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
Smoothie Base
- ¾ cup zucchini chunks, peeled and frozen
- ⅓ cup nut or coconut milk, frozen into ice cubes
- ¾ cup vanilla nut or coconut milk of choice, unsweetened
- 2 tablespoons vanilla-flavored collagen peptides, or 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 tablespoon almond butter

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Whisk matcha and water together in an M or Z pattern until frothy. Add the nut or coconut milk and sweetener (if using), whisk, and set aside.
Step 2
Add all of the smoothie ingredients into a blender. Purée just until smooth, making sure not to over blend it so that it keeps a good slushy consistency.
Step 3
Serve the smoothie in a glass and top with the matcha layer, swirling it in using a spoon or straw. Enjoy!
