Ingredients

  • 6-quart pot (5,5 Liter) of water
  • 1 cup peeled ginger
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • A pinch Celtic sea salt (which contains more trace minerals than normal table salt)
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons sparkling mineral water

Instructions

Step 1

Start by cleaning and peeling the fresh ginger. Place the peeled ginger in a 6-quart pot, filling the pot nearly to the brim with water.

Step 2

Bring the ginger-infused water to a boil, and then reduce the heat to allow it to simmer gently for about 20 minutes.

Step 3

While the ginger water is simmering, prepare a large jar to hold the finished drink. In the jar, combine apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and a drizzle of maple syrup. Ensure the jar is spacious enough to hold the ginger water and other ingredients.

Step 4

After the 20-minute simmering period, carefully pour the infused ginger water into the prepared jar with the other ingredients. Give the mixture a thorough stir to combine all the flavors.

Step 5

Serve the natural electrolyte drink over ice, leaving some space at the top of the glass. Top off the drink with a splash of mineral water to your taste preference. For added flair and flavor, garnish with a sprig of fresh herbs like mint, rosemary, basil, or lavender. You can also enhance the visual appeal by adding slices of your chosen fruit, such as strawberries or lemon peel, as a final touch.
